2011 Great Lakes Photos
The 2011 Wisconsin waterfowl season was another banner year for HHO on the Great Lakes and in Northern Wisconsin! Total birds bagged for the year included 277 ducks and 8 geese, representing a total of 23 species of waterfowl ranging from goldeneye, scaup, redheads and canvasbacks to wood ducks, black ducks, ringnecks, mallards, pintail, old squaw, black scoter hooded and common mergansers.
Highlights of the year included 15 trips (7 of which were consecutive) that resulted in full bag limits for clients and full plumage drakes of 17 different duck species were taken over the course of the season! The average number of birds taken per outing was 7.5 birds in hand and 12.7 shooting opportunities (individual groups of birds through decoys).
Thank you again to all of those who made it possible for another great year in the duck blind and we hope to see you again next year!
